St George's Theatre, Yarmouth
St George's Theatre Company goes from strength to strength and their pacey poised performance of the clever farce Holiday Snap is a resounding success. The production is a total romp and an inspired choice.
Set in an attractive Portuguese timeshare apartment the play follows the storyline of a bizarre double booking. Each role is brilliantly interpreted from the elderly Commander Chittenden played insight-fully by Roy Ceiley who is scarcely off the stage, to the masterly performance by Jason Delaney as Henry Charlesworth who scrambles from expedient to expedient as he copes manically with Mumpops, his mother-in-law, a cameo role by Brenda Ceiley.
The denouement is magnificently exuberant.
The directors who deserve warm praise are Brenda Ceiley and Maxine Williams.
