Get your skates on tonight for a free session at Norwich's open air ice rink - that was the message as organisers prepared for an early launch.

To celebrate the return of the magical rink at The Forum everyone is invited to skate for free when it opens one night early.

And to make it even more special stars from Norwich Theatre Royal pantomime production of Snow White and the Seven Dwarves like Caitlin Stasey and Richard Gauntlett will be making a guest appearance in full costume.

Free sessions start at 5pm and run on the hour until 8pm with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Officially opening to the public tomorrow, November 29, The Forum's ice rink has become a staple part of Norwich's winter calendar signalling the start of the countdown to Christmas whether you are an able skater or an absolute beginner.

From the start of the school holidays, there will also be a state-of-the-art Glacier Ice Run simulator and Super Bungee Trampolines to look forward to this year. All three attractions will be available for a combined ticket price of only £10.

And refreshments such as hot chestnuts, waffles and crepes will also be on offer.

From tomorrow skating times start on the hour from 10am to 8pm. Tickets are £7.50 for adults, £5 for concessions, £4 for parent and toddler sessions and £21 for a family ticket. They do not have to be booked in advance but bookings can be made at the Theatre Royal box office on 01603 630000 or in person at The Forum box office.
