Film fans will be able to dive into a festival celebrating the power of the ocean in Norwich next week.
The Ocean Film Festival World Tour will be stopping off at the University of East Anglia on Saturday, October 7. The event, which originates from Australia, features some of the world's best ocean-themed short films, with footage from both above and below the water's surface. The 2017 film programme features everything from intrepid freedivers exploring haunting shipwrecks to nomadic sailors facing the icy waters of Antarctica to awe-inspiring marine life such as humpback whales. Tour Director Nell Teasdale said: 'Featuring incredible cinematography, the films capture the raw beauty and power of the ocean, while celebrating an eclectic and fascinating mix of characters who live for the sea's salt spray.'
The event starts at 7pm at Lecture Theatre One at the University of East Anglia on Saturday, October 7. Visit www.oceanfilmfestival.co.uk
