The cast and crew of Fakenham and Districts Light Operatic Society (Fadlos) will be raising money for Breast Cancer Care on the opening night of their next production.

The group perform Legally Blonde over five nights at Fakenham Community Centre from May 10 to 14 and on the first night invite audience members to show their support for the charity by wearing pink.

Legally Blonde follows the journey of Elle Woods who goes from being seen as dumb blonde to graduating from Harvard Law whilst causing all sorts of mayhem along the way, but proving that hard work and determination can make the world see you in a different light.

Legally Blonde is a fairly new musical which is upbeat and very perky, with comical songs and lively routines.

It has attracted lots of new performers to the stage - the talented Grace Burton has joined the society and taken the title role.

Grace is a well-established singer and talented actress who has done shows in other areas of Norfolk.

Victoria Perryman and Michael Silvester have also joined the cast taking the roles of the crazy, slightly unstable beautician Paulette and the stern and scary Professor Callaghan.

But the most important addition to the society has four legs, wiggles lot, is the most demanding Diva and only sits still when given treats – Susie the dog is playing Elle's pet Bruiser Woods.

There are new faces in the ensemble alongside the usual members, and some Irish dancing.

Fadlos have also paid for new curtains as part of their tidy-up-the-stage project.

Show sponsor is Summerhill Veterinary Centre of Queens Road in Fakenham.

They are also currently celebrating their latest Noda award win for best pantomime Dick Whittington and also celebrating securing the rights for Sister Act the Musical for July 2017 as their 50th Anniversary Production.

Tickets for Legally Blonde are available at Sweets 'N' Things in Fakenham or online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/fadlos.
