Elbow, who cemented their position as one of the most important UK bands of recent times with the release of their third studio album, Leaders of the Free World in 2005, bring their UK tour to the UEA, Norwich, this Sunday night.

Elbow have been playing together for 14 years and were signed to Island Records in 1998. They band were dropped by the label before anything was released in 2000, but were re-signed in 2001 to V2 Records.

Elbow's debut album, Asleep in the Back, was released in the same year and acclaimed by the critics and nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Their second album, Cast of Thousands was also very successful.

In 2005 Elbow appeared on the main stage at Reading and Leeds Festivals before heading out on a sold-out UK tour to promote their third album.

Leaders of the Free World, sees lyricist Guy Garvey at his finest with critics across the board acclaiming the album.
