The Comedy Store at Norwich's Forum gets under way on Wednesday, January 16, at 9pm (doors 8pm) with MC Gordon Southern - who's been at the crease since 1993 - introducing fast-thinking, dimple-chinned Ben Norris, with a clever mix of observational comedy and effervescent banter.

Next up is Lloyd Langford, a prolific writer and performer who has demonstrated the sharpest of comedy instincts in his rise up the comedy ladder.

Born in Wales, his act is an ever-evolving mixture of personal anecdotes, witty one-liners and topical material. There's a lot of charm to Marcus Birdman's comedy routines, too. Even on well-explored territory, he brings a fresh angle and finely-tuned eye to the writing of his material.

Always prepared to wander into the surreal, he comes complete with tales of shooting puffins, Korean lullabies and advice on how to remove a python from your foot!
