Oliver Cromwell's forces are on their way to one of Norfolk's most beautiful houses. Oxburgh Hall, at Oxborough, near Swaffham, is holding a two-day 'Defend the Hall' event (11am-4pm) this weekend when the 17th Century Life & Times re-enactment group will be in action during the Civil War as Parliament Forces enter the Oxburgh Estate intent on destruction.

It's lively and colourful fun for the family and - be warned - loud too, with musket and cannon fire at this event.
