In An Emergency, Dial are hosting a triple headline show at the Queen Charlotte, Dereham Road, Norwich, this Saturday night (8pm) featuring Sam Isaac who has recently picked up a lot of positive airtime on Radio One with his single Sideways, Cambridge-based Linda's Nephew and Luke Leighfield.
Counting Bright Eyes, the Spinto Band and Ed Harcourt among his influences, 20-year-old Sam self-released two mini-albums, both of which received glowing reviews and national radio play, April 2007 saw Sam release a split 10-inch with Luke Leighfield on Mannequin Republic - the new label of Get Cape.Wear Cape.Fly's Sam Duckworth.
He has recently recorded sessions on Janice Long's Radio 2 show, Huw Stephens' Radio 1 show and John Kennedy's Xfm show and has been played by Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq on Radio 1.
Sam spent the summer touring UK festivals, including Latitude and Glastonbury. A busy year ended with shows supporting the likes of Scouting for Girls and Pigeon Detectives as well as a slot at the prestigious BBC Electric Proms.
Sam's debut single, Sideways, was released last month and featured on the shows of Jo Whiley, Annie Mac, Huw Stephens and Zane Lowe.
Linda's Nephew have played shows alongside the Jam, Tom Vek and Arctic Monkeys, while Luke Leighfield is a close friend of Sam Isaacs and recently completed his 250th gig.
