Two north Norfolk singing groups will join forces for a church concert this weekend.

Cantamus Choir and The Men and Boys of Saint Nicholas will be performing together in St Nicholas' Parish Church (NR28 9BT) in North Walsham town centre on Saturday.

The I Was Glad: Choral Fireworks concert starts at 7pm and tickets cost £5.

It will feature choral music, including music from two coronations, themes from both the big and small screen and a rousing rendition of the most famous choral work of them all, the Hallelujah Chorus by G.F. Handel.

Other songs will include Parry's I Was Glad, sung at the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Zadok the Priest by Handel, sung at every coronation since 1702, and Howard Goodall's The Lord is my Shepherd from BBC television comedy series The Vicar of Dibley.

Director David Ballard said: 'This promises to be a treat for all to savour. With upwards of 70 voices filling the dramatic architecture of St Nicholas' church, audiences can be assured of the roof being raised even higher.

'With the recent completion of the tower work, 2015 has been a memorable year for both the church and the town, and this promises to be another memorable event.'

Tickets can be bought on the door or from the Arts North Norfolk box office on No.1, North Walsham Market Place. Call 01692 218060.
