With more than 50 brews on tap it is sure to be a magnet for ale and cider enthusiasts.

And local companies are adding to the good cheer by sponsoring a barrel at an Aylsham beer festival.

Money raised will help local causes supported by the festival which is organised by Aylsham and District Round Table.

Now in its 11th year the festival, taking place from tomorrow to Sunday will be tapping into Norfolk's burgeoning craft brewing scene.

Drinkers can enjoy a selection of 40 real ales and 15 ciders during the event at the Old Cinema on Cawston Road.

The 2015 festival raised £5,000 some of which was used to re-furbish toilets at the Old Cinema.

This year funds will be used to restore the kitchen at the popular community hub.

Round Table vice-chairman Paul Wright said: 'At the first festival there was just five or six real ales, now we have 40. There has been a massive expansion of micro-breweries popping up across the county and we want to support that.

'The more local businesses that sponsor a barrel the more we raise for good causes.'

Session times are Friday, 6pm – 11pm, Saturday, 11am – 11pm and Sunday, 11am – 3pm.

Tickets are available online at the Aylsham and District Round Table website and on the door.
