Work by two well-known actors is set to be showcased at Sheringham Little Theatre during the town's carnival in July.

Roger Lloyd Pack, who is best known for his comic roles as Trigger in Only Fools and Horses and Owen from the Vicar of Dibley, will be doing a one-off show.

Mr Lloyd Pack, who has a home near Holt, will read some of his favourite poems with partner Jehane Markham on July 3.

And the artwork of the late stage actor Dinsdale Landen, who lived near Fakenham, will be on exhibition from July 11.

Artistic director Debbie Thompson said she was delighted that the theatre had teamed up with the carnival committee to sign up Mr Lloyd Pack, who has just finished a role as Barty Crouch in the new Harry Potter film.

She added that next month would be the first time fans could see the artwork of Dinsdale Landen.

The veteran Shakespearean, TV and film actor took up painting when he was diagnosed with mouth cancer in 1999. He died in December 2003 at the age of 71.

A tribute to his “naïve, colourful and energetic” artwork was donated by his wife Jennifer.

The exhibition runs until August 6.
