Robert Wright is transported back to the days of rock'n'roll at Bury Theatre Royal.

This award-winning rock 'n' roll musical by Snapdragon Productions and The Watermill Theatre is an exciting and punchy show. It will have you transfixed as it takes you on a musical journey through those dark days of the 1950s when the country was recovering from the effects of the Second World War and the youngsters wanted to live again.

The story is told in a rhythmic structure with the colourful lingo of the Teddy Boys and Girls thrown in. Their attitude was of survival in desperate times and wanting to achieve something on any terms. In their own words they were skint, but the pride they had in dress and style combined with the love of the big beat music was simply amazing to watch and learn.

It is a thoroughly entertaining show providing a poignant precursor to the Swinging Sixties when life changed. The show continues until Saturday February 24.
