Having wowed judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon enough to reach the final of Britain's Got Talent, Tim and Jack will be in front of a more local but equally enthusiastic crowd when they take to the stage this weekend.

The guitar-playing father and son duo, who battled it out against 10 other acts in the ITV show's final, will play at a special homecoming party at The Barrel in Banham on Saturday night.

Tim and Jack Goodacre, who are from Eccles, near Attleborough, regularly test out new songs at the nearby pub, which hosts gigs in its music venue The Back Room.

Landlord Brian McAllister said: 'We are very excited to have them back. Both Jack and Tim played here regularly on our open mic nights when Jack was younger. We were really pleased to follow their success on Britain's Got Talent, so it's great to welcome them home.'

Appearing on BGT the duo's original song The Lucky Ones went down well with the judges.

Simon Cowell told the pair: 'That brought back so many amazing memories. I think you are both brilliant and this is going to be tough tonight but I think you have really given yourself a shot after that performance and I think you made the right decision.'

David Walliams added: 'We are all lucky enough to be parents and it is a beautiful thing to see, the fantastic relationship between you two.'

The duo had already been a familiar sight in Norwich where they often perform on the streets, Jack, then 11, was hailed as the city's youngest busker.

Jack already has a number of musical achievements under his belt, despite his young age, while his dad works as a singer/songwriter and music producer.

As well as taking part in Britain's Got Talent, Jack has also appeared on The Voice Kids where he was coached by McFly star Danny Jones and more recently been performing as Zack Mooneyham in Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End adaptation of School of Rock.

Lasts month the duo wowed crowds when they performed at the Royal Norfolk Show.

The Banham show will open with a performance by Emily Brown, followed by Norfolk singer-songwriter Niamh who will be sharing songs from her recently released album Flammable.
