The best musical talent from Norfolk and Suffolk will be battling it out this Saturday, May 12, for the honour of performing at this year's Beccles Carnival.

The third Beccles Battle of the Bands will feature Torn Between, Serillian, Worn, City Star Rockers, One Member Short, Bear, Trace the Pray and She Can't Dance.

The event has moved to Beccles Middle School this year after outgrowing last year's venue at Ringsfield village hall.

Organiser Annette Tackley said: “We have eight bands competing for the cash prizes and the chance to play on the 42ft stage at the main carnival weekend of July 21 to 23.”

Doors open at 5.45pm for a 6pm start. Tickets are £3 and there will be a licensed bar and hot food.
