Norwich Theatre Royal
No longer a premier division children's favourite, these characters still have a loyal following. They don't have a regular primetime spot on children's telly and that was obvious as the two shows yesterday were not sellouts.
The bananas, originally from Australia, are a bit naughty so little ones love their adventures and the tricks they play on the teddy bears Amy, Lulu and Morgan.
You shouldn't go expecting a plot but rather a great selection of songs and dances – those bananas really can boogie! All the old favourites are included from the Grand of Duke of York to Ba Ba Black Sheep, Row the Boat and Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes.
The show was of a good standard, with actors who could sing well and had the personality to keep a few hundred mainly under fives occupied for an hour and a half. No small feat!
