Annie, Get Your Gun

Public Hall, Beccles
If you are looking for a good evening out in Beccles, then go and see Annie Get Your Gun, which is being performed by the Waveney Light Opera Group.
The production is a frothy, amusing confection. A splendid orchestra enhances the production, musical director Stella Brownsea drawing detailed playing from every section who accompany the singing sympathetically.
Annie is played by Sarah Cook, a gun-toting 'tough guy' to whom the audience instantly warms.
Her brothers and sisters are well depicted by 12-year-olds Emily Mondon and Jodie Harris, and by eight-year-old Megan Gallagher who stole everyone's hearts.
Chris Steed who has a lovely tenor voice plays Frank Butler, Philip Allum is the renowned Buffalo Bill.
