An inspirational new theatre project is looking for people to bring the untold stories of the LGBT community to life.

Access Community Trust is looking for people to share their first-hand experience of being LGBTQ in East Suffolk in the 1950s and 1960s to help create a string of performances.

They aim to tell the stories of LGBT people living in the region before homosexuality was partially detrimentalness in 1967.

Lee Johnson, a manager at the Trust said, 'Following on from the success of last year's LGBTQ project, 'Across the Kitchen Table', I am really excited that Access is once again in a position to work with the LGBTQ community.'

Although more than 50 years has since passed since a change in the law and changing attitudes, it is vitally important to share the older generations' experiences with younger people, so they can learn and appreciate the continuing struggle for acceptance.'
