Pakefield Singers have joined choirs from across Suffolk in singing a song in celebration of our county.
The song, 'A Million Acres', has been specially written by composer Andrew Rayner for Radio Suffolk, in honour of Suffolk Day on June 21.
Choirs – featuring more than 1,000 musicians – combined with Pakefield Singers for the song, with the local group honoured to be invited to represent this corner of Suffolk.
Pakefield Singers' conductor, Vetta Wise, said: 'We were delighted to join with other choirs to record the Suffolk Song. Singing 'A Million Acres of Beauty' on a glorious evening on the clifftop at Pakefield was the perfect way to celebrate our county by the sea.'
Pakefield Singers' next concert, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle in St Edmund's Church, will be performed in Southwold on July 7. Next Saturday, June 2 a Come and Sing day will be led by Vetta Wise at St Peter's Church in Kirkley. Everyone is welcome.
