Music, dance, comedy and spectacular illuminated juggling will all be on offer for free as part of this summer's Lord Mayor's Celebrations.

The Forum Stage proved one of the most successful additions to last year's Lord Mayor's line-up so this year organisers Norwich City Council have looked to build on that success.

The Lord Mayor's Celebration is being held between Thursday, July 4 and Sunday July 7.

The first act will open the fun of The Forum Stage at midday and the entertainment will continue on Millennium Plain through until 10.15pm.

Opening the stage at midday will be London's Pantasy Steel Band, who will play a mix of original and contemporary Irish and English folk music.

The dancers of Swing City Norwich will take over at 12.35pm, followed by the Norwich street dance group Slanteddance at 1pm, Parallel Dance Studios at 1.35pm and Norwich flamenco dancing group Strictly Flamenco from 2.05pm.

Norwich performing arts school The Garage will take over proceedings at 2.40pm, before electric violinist Alison Sparrow at 3.45pm and Nubian singers and master frame drummers Nuba Nour take The Forum Stage through to an interval from 4.05pm.

The entertainment then takes a break as the traditional Lord Mayor's procession winds through the city centre from 5pm.

The entertainment outside The Forum starts up again from 6pm, with Birmingham-based Dhol Blasters bringing the sounds and colours of Punjab music to the city.

Swing City Norwich (6.55pm), electric violinist Alison Sparrow (7.20pm) and Slanteddance (7.40pm) all return in the evening.

Some comedy then takes over at 8.10pm, as Edinburgh Festival regulars Four Screws Loose take to the stage, followed by a second set from The Garage at 9pm and a spectacular finish.

State-of-the-art juggling show Feeding the Fish will take to the stage at 10.05pm, featuring electronically illuminated props and spectacular juggling.

The entertainment will then all come to a close in time for the crowds to enjoy the spectacular fireworks show from Norwich Castle at 10.30pm.
