Celebrating 50 years of James Bond the Last Night of the Blickling Proms enjoyed a 007 theme, which saw the audience toe tapping along to a medley of songs from the well-known films, including Live and Let Die, Goldfinger and The Spy Who Loved Me.

Adding to the top-secret theme was a host of iconic Bond cars, including a replica Aston Martin DB5 and Lotus Esprit - the sleek white sports car that was famously transformed into a submarine in 1977's The Spy Who Loved Me.

As the performance from Viva Sinfonia got under way the spy soundtrack segued into a round of rousing British classics, including the Dam Busters March, as the first half was closed with an acrobatic display from the Grace Spitfire.

Martin Brooker, from Bradwell, said the fly past had been a highlight of a 'brilliant' evening.

'It's a beautiful, lovely setting and it's not raining so you can't grumble,' he added. 'I'm very eclectic with my music tastes, I will go and see anybody, but this is very good.'

Before the second half began the Bond-themed best dressed competition was judged, which saw Navy Leiutenant Connor May from Martham - who arrived in his Naval uniform - scoop the first prize magnum of champagne.

Lisa Ward, director of Revival Productions which staged the concert, said the audience had really got into the 007 spirit.

'The crowd are lovely and it's so nice to walk among them. The Spitfire was amazing and we're just so lucky with the weather, it's been fab,' she added.

The movie theme continued into the second half as the orchestra played pieces from Titanic and Indiana Jones, before the evening was rounded off with a bang with a spectacular firework display.
