Cromer's end-of-the-pier summer variety show, believed to be unique in Europe, opened for its 2014 season last night in front of a packed house.
The eagerly-anticipated show was under a particular spotlight this year following widespread criticism that last summer's offering had somehow lost its way and was not true to the traditional variety format - with lashings of sparkle and feathers - which loyal show-goers have come to love and expect.
Does this year's show answer those critics? Our reviewer, Richard Batson, was among yesterday's first-night audience in Cromer Pier's Pavilion Theatre. Don't miss tomorrow's EDP to hear his verdict.
