The dinosaur invaded the city centre venue on Tuesday, ahead of the show Jurassic Adventures coming to Norwich Theatre Royal on February 19.

John Bultitude, from Norwich Theatre Royal, said: 'Tuesday lunchtime at The Forum certainly had a prehistoric feel. A young Tyrannosaurus Rex took pride of place and created quite a stir among lunchtime shoppers.

'Those of all ages posed for pictures with the creature, which will be back in Norwich to star in Jurassic Adventures in February. As he is only young, he can sometimes be a bit naughty but he was on his best behaviour and had a great time meeting lots of dinosaur fans of all ages.'

Jurassic Adventures aims to transport families to a magical island where they will follow the adventures of Dr Grant and a team of explorers who believe dinosaurs were not killed off millions of years ago and could still be alive.

Throughout the show the audiences will see a host of prehistoric monsters and also witness the birth of a baby dinosaur.

Jurassic Adventures is at Norwich Theatre Royal on Thursday, February 19 at 11.30am, 2.30pm and 6pm. It is suitable for children aged three and over. Tickets £7-£16. Family ticket £43 (four tickets in Bands A-D). To book, visit www.theatreroyalnorwich.co.uk or call the box office on 01603 630000.
