• Iolanthe: Livewire Opera Company
Event info: This amateur production of W.S Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan's 1882 comic opera promises to be a unique experience for the senses, with enchanting voices, spectacular costumes and plenty of humour. The plot follows fairy Iolanthe who has been banished from Fairyland because she fell in love with a mortal and her family as they clash with the House of Peers.

• Return to the Forbidden Planet by Bob Carlton
Event info: Inspired by Fred M. Wilcox's sci-fi classic Forbidden Planet, this production (directed by Peter Beck, with musical direction from Joe Ringer) follows Captain Tempest and his crew as they journey into hyperspace and beyond. The musical production combines the 1956 film, with the plot of Shakespeare's Tempest and sets it to a score of popular music from the 1960s and 70s.
