Celebrating the church in action is the theme of the Diocese of Norwich's stand at the Royal Norfolk Show.
'The show is an amazing opportunity to highlight what local churches are doing across Norfolk and Waveney. We want to engage with people to highlight the vibrancy of the church in their community,' said Gordon Darley, from the Diocese of Norwich. Among the activities will be a mini climbing wall, craft activities, mobile recording studio, sandcastle building and a toddlers play area. There will be a café and tea garden, and school music groups and choirs will perform on the stage area. There will be an area focusing on the work that churches do to combat poverty and homelessness, and exhibitors will also include YMCA Norfolk, Norwich Cathedral, Mothers' Union, Scripture Union, Christian Aid, Foodbank, Norwich Youth for Christ. The top 12 photos in a competition run earlier this year will also be displayed.
