Thetford Forest
They describe themselves as five 20-somethings who love “great big no-nonsense, giant chorused pop music that everyone can hum to from plumbers to professors”.
And 6,000 fans clapped, waved and sang as well as hummed in the forest last night as The Feeling showed why they are one of the rising bands of the British music scene.
They have endured a summer of mud at outdoor gigs this year so were thrilled to play for the first time on a beautiful sunny evening.
In a little over a year, the Brit nominees have had a string of hit singles and were the most-played band in the UK in 2006.
They are natural showmen and the crowd was delighted with their cracking one-hour, 15-minute set.
The lads had the audience bouncing with all their favourites including Fill My Little World, Never Be Lonely, and Love It When You Call as well as the show- stopping rendition of Video Killed The Radio Star and an encore for Fat Bottomed Girls.
Last night started the second half of Thetford's summer gigs which continue tonight with M People and tomorrow with Blondie.
Last night's support act Ghosts are predicted to be another of music's next big things and you sense they will be headlining gigs themselves very soon.
