Fundraiser for Jac Coffey - West Lynn Social Club

Saturday, June 10, 12.30pm

Police and paramedics will go head-to-head in a fundraising football match for the family of a four-year-old boy with terminal cancer. There will also be a sponsored 5km walk, bouncy castles, assault course, slides, face painting, hot food and a raffle.

Downham Games - Memorial Playing Field

Sunday, June 11, 10.30am - 2.30pm

This year will see the first ever wife-carrying competition at the Downham Games. Competitors will have to carry a woman around a 400m obstacle course with top prizes including a barrel of beer and a pound of sausages.

Ride Against Cancer - Sainsbury's, Hardwick, King's Lynn

Hundreds of motorcyclists will be revving their engines down the A47 to show their commitment in the fight against cancer. The bike ride will be in memory of Angela Amies, from Norwich, who died in December last year aged 72 after a 25-year battle with cancer. Entry fee to join the bike ride is £5.

King's Lynn Corn Exchange are calling all Mods to come along on their scooters for a photo shoot outside the building with some of the cast from the Mod Musical, All Or Nothing. The musical will feature music of the Small Faces, including an arsenal of brilliant hits like Whatcha Gonna Do About It, Lazy Sunday, Tin Soldier, Sha La La La Lee and Itchycoo Park.

The tapestries are once again hanging in the King's Room at Oxburgh Hall thanks to a painstaking process to digitally recreate them. Although they look authentic, they are in fact photographs that have been printed on linen, which has the same weighting and weave as the originals.
