Ben Youngs is set to provide England boss Eddie Jones with a fitness boost when he returns to the starting line-up for Leicester Tigers on Friday night.
The scrum-half suffered a knee ligament injury during England's Six Nations opener in Italy in early February which looked likely to finish his season.
However, the former Holt junior recovered to make a return as a replacement two weeks ago as Leicester lost their Premiership derby at home to Northampton 27-21 two weeks ago.
That leaves Tigers two points adrift of Newcastle in the fourth and final play-off spot with two games remaining, who they host on Friday (7.45pm). Youngs is fit enough to start, with older brother Tom starting on the bench.
Ben would be a welcome return to fitness for England ahead of the tour of South Africa in June, for which captain Dylan Hartley, centre Jonathan Joseph and back Anthony Watson all among those already ruled out.
