New boss Pawel Guziejko takes charge of his first competitive game this afternoon as Wroxham begin their second season of Ryman League football.
The Yachtsmen travel to Aveley for their Division One North opener on the back of a disappointing pre-season which saw them claim only one victory. However, former Reepham manager Guziejko is confident his men still have enough quality to do well during his maiden campaign.
The return to fitness of prolific striker Paul Cook couldn't have come at a more perfect time and the Trafford Park chief will be hoping that the forward can stay injury-free this season, as he has the talent to be more than useful at this level.
Remy Gordon also looks set to be a key figure and he has come through pre-season playing in a central-midfield role. Guzielko's side will be the underdogs in this match; however that can work to their advantage. Last season Wroxham were unbeaten in their league games against Aveley and famously tasted a 4-1 win at Millfields.
