Gary Setchell has been named as the new boss of Wisbech Town.

Setchell takes over from Dick Creasey, who left the club earlier this week.

He returns to the Fenmen hotseat some seven and a half years after leaving the club to take up the reins of the then newly-reformed King's Lynn Town.

The majority of the current coaching and backroom staff – Paul Cousins, Glen Maddison, Luke Hipwell and physio Tom Chapman – have been invited to continue in their existing roles, but coach Martyn Bunce has left the club.

Creasey called time on his third stint as Wisbech Town manager following a difficult start to the new campaign, with the Fenmen having lost four of their opening six United Counties League Premier Division games in what Creasey had already planned to be his final season in the hotseat. A 3-1 home reverse at the hands of Boston Town on Tuesday night proved to be the final straw for the veteran boss.
