A new Norwich gymnastics centre is taking shape at UEA Sportspark.
The 2.8m project will include pits for vaulting, a high bar, tumble track, floor area and two floor-level trampolines, as well as viewing areas at ground and first-floor levels plus the option of additional spectator seating for competitions.
The region has a successful junior gymnastics scene and the new facilities – set to open in September – should help develop that further.
Sportspark director Keith Nicholls said: 'The centre is on schedule and will provide people in Norwich with a first class gymnastics facility.'
The eco-friendly centre is aimed at those wishing to take up gymnastics and will be added to the current indoor arena, which was built two years ago.
