The Indian Premier League adventure begins for Tymal Mills today when his new team kick-start this year's competition.

The Brandon-raised fast bowler has been catapulted into the big time after being signed to a £1.4million contract by Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL auction, with only England all-rounder Ben Stokes earning more.

Mills, 24, has been capped by England four times in Twenty20 games in the past year and played in the short format of the game in competitions in New Zealand, Australia and Pakistan over the winter.

He is expected to make his RC Bangalore debut today at Sunrisers Hyderabad, where a capacity crowd of 55,000 is expected at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, starting at 3.30pm UK time.

The match is being shown live on Sky Sports, as is Bangalore's second match when they host Delhi Daredevils on Saturday, also at 3.30pm.
