Trophy time at Aylsham
Aylsham FC Girls and Ladies held their presentation evening at Bure Valley School, Aylsham.Chairperson Heidi Clark thanked the committee for their support throughout the season with special mention to Lesley Slater (secretary), Eileen Moss (fundraising) and Carolyn Atherton (ladies' rep and press officer).

Chairperson Heidi Clark thanked the committee for their support throughout the season with special mention to Lesley Slater (secretary), Eileen Moss (fundraising) and Carolyn Atherton (ladies' rep and press officer).
The managers gave their reports and each player was awarded with an engraved AFC medal. The players' player trophies were presented by ladies' team captain Flick Farraway.
U12 manager Steve Grice reported a difficult season with some tough matches injuries and sometimes lack of players. The spirit and brilliant commitment of the players was not dampened. Steve thanked parents and Angie Rusbridge for her assistance.

U14 manager Brian Clark reported the girls stepped up to nine-a-side games very successfully. He thanked the girls for their enthusiasm and commitment and the parents for helping with transport. They finished the league season in third position and in the cup final lost to Norwich. Most improved player, Libby Rusbridge; manager's player, Lauren King; players' player, Charlotte Ward.

Brian thanked Heidi, Richard and Lee for their support.
U15 manager Sebastian Sutcliffe was very proud of how his team had 'grown up'. Although they won only six of their matches, each girl was an important part of the squad and gave solid performances each week. Most improved player, Lisa Goodrich; manager's player, Beth Lambert; Players' player, Lizzie Hibberd who has been selected as captain for the season 2010/11 and will be assistant manager. Sebastian thanked Carl, David, Darren and the parents and was presented with a gift from his team.
Ladies player/manager, Abby Timmins reported the team had finished fifth in the league. A lack of player availability meant the team frequently played with nine or 10 but the spirit was indomitable.
The final match epitomised their spirit, coming from 4-3 down to win 5-4 with only nine players. Abby thanked all for their support, on and off the pitch, especially her assistant, Gina Atherton, the ladies who had served refreshments and linesman, Ashley Hunton. Gifts of appreciation were exchanged.

Heidi Clark announced that the first headed goal had been scored by U15 player Grace Jackson. She thanked all the referees, linesmen, players and parents.
