In the Adams Trophy at Whittlesey Manor BC, Norfolk won 171-162. They got off to a flying start, taking a 21-shot lead after five ends, and were 32 shots ahead at 10 ends. But at 20 ends the gap was down to 10 shots and at 25 ends there were only three shots between the teams. Norfolk managed a strong finish to run out winners, picking up 16 of the available 22 points.
In the Newton game at Yaxley BC, a new venue for intercounty bowls, Norfolk won 206-162 for 19 of the 22 points.
They opened an impressive 39-shot lead by 10 ends. By 20 ends they had extended it to 45 shots.
