Time short to enter Rangers’ tournament

YOUTH FOOTBALL: Gorleston Rangers FC's 23rd annual youth football tournament (in association with Specsavers, Great Yarmouth) will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 18 and 19, at Ormiston Venture Academy, Oriel Avenue, Gorleston.

Saturday, June 18: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16 and U14 Girls. Sunday, June 19: U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 and U11 Girls.

Under-seven and under-eight is five-a-side mini soccer, under-nine is six-a-side mini soccer, under-10 and the girls' sections are seven-a-side mini soccer and the under-11 to 16 boys' sections are five-a-side with head height restrictions applying.

Booking-in times for both days is by 10am, with first group games kicking off at 10.30am. Cost is �20 per team.

For the last few years over 200 teams have entered the tournament.

With over 80 entries already received from Coventry, Northampton, Luton, Bedford, Essex, Ipswich, Framlingham, Dereham and Norwich – as well as local teams from Gorleston, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft – early application is encouraged.

Acknowledgements of acceptance of entries have now all been emailed out. If you haven't received yours, please contact the tournament organiser as soon as possible.
