Great Yarmouth Town can have an impact in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division title race at The Wellesley this afternoon.

The Bloaters host second-placed Felixstowe & Walton United, who are six points behind leaders Mildenhall and have two games in hand, and go into the game in good spirits.

That follows an under-strength squad picking up a point in a 0-0 draw at lowly Haverhill Rovers last Saturday, extending Yarmouth's unbeaten run to four matches.

'Given the late call-offs and problems before the game we would have taken a point, although as the game unfolded we perhaps could have taken all three,' joint Yarmouth boss Adam Mason said.

'Our main concern was keeping 11 players on the pitch as any injury would have caused us a real headache, overall that is a good point. Hopefully we will get a few players back in time for this week.'

Thetford are a point and a place below Yarmouth ahead of hosting mid-table rivals Ipswich Wanderers. The Brecklanders thrashed Clacton 4-0 at Mundford Road last weekend and have lost just one of their last eight games.

Fakenham are also at home, against Haverhill, looking to bounce back from a 3-1 defeat at high-flying Newmarket. The Ghosts are eight points clear of the relegation zone but could still do with a couple of wins to make sure they don't get dragged in to the end-of-season scrap.

Bottom-of-the-table Swaffham are close to having their fate confirmed and are 13 points adrift of safety ahead of their trip to 13th-placed Ely. The Pedlars haven't won any of their last seven and haven't tasted victory since their first game of 2017.

In the First Division, Diss need to beat Cornard United at Brewers Green Lane if they are to have any chance of salvaging promotion.

The sixth-placed Tangerines didn't win any of their three league games in February and were held to a 3-3 home draw by Holland last weekend, but have games in hand on the teams above them.

Downham are also at home, against mid-table rivals Holland, looking to bounce back from a 3-0 loss at Stowmarket. King's Lynn Reserves would do Diss a favour if they can pick up a good result at third-placed Coggeshall.
