Thetford Town picked up a useful point in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division, thanks to a 1-1 draw at Woodbridge Town, who are bottom of the table but won 3-2 at Kirkley & Pakefield on Saturday and have rallied recently.
Kirkley bounced back from that defeat with a 3-2 win at mid-table rivals Walsham-le-Willows. Goals from player-manager Jamie Godbold, Kyle Baker and Kaiden Goldspink edged the victory.
The win moves Kirkley above Stanway Rovers into 12th place and Thetford's draw leaves them four points clear of the relegation zone with nine games to play.
The Brecklanders are away at Norwich United on Saturday, in a midday kick-off as part of the Norfolk Hop, one of the Thurlow Nunn League's 'groundhopper' days.
As part of the initiative Gorleston's match against Brantham Athletic will kick-off at Emerald Park at 3pm and Great Yarmouth Town will host Swaffham Town at The Wellesley at 6pm.
