Diss Town have another chance this evening to prove their first Premier Division victory of the season was not a false dawn.

The Tangerines finally got some points on the board after a torrid start by beating fellow strugglers Ely City a fortnight ago. However, since then – despite a cup win at Swaffham Town – Mike Derbyshire's side have failed to build on that crucial triumph.

A 4-1 defeat at home to Ipswich Wanderers was followed up by a 1-0 reverse at Fakenham Town on Saturday. Those losses have seen Ely leapfrog their relegation rivals with the Robins breaking their duck and then bagging another three points at the weekend against Gorleston.

So it's important that Diss, three points behind City and already nine adrift of third-from-bottom Walsham-le-Willows, do not lose more ground tonight when they host Mildenhall Town, 13th. Elsewhere, eighth-placed Gorleston will be keen to bounce back from their shock 2-1 loss on Saturday when they visit Walsham.

In the First Division, Downham Town entertain Haverhill Borough. Mark Reeve's men have enjoyed a decent opening but will need to do better than they did during their 4-0 thumping at AFC Sudbury Reserves last time out.
