The carp are back at Ten Mile Bank, with Lynn-based Edgar Sheldrake catching a 30lb mirror near Wissey Mouth after a pre-baiting campaign.

Anglers have been getting up early to avoid the sunshine. Clive Hammond managed 48lb of bream on feeder tactics, though nets generally were down as the heatwave kicked in.

This week's rain will bring some flow and colour back and could make the weekend one to bet your shirt on.

The Middle Level Drain has fished well, with skimmers, bream and roach showing in most areas.

Tottenhill seems to come alive in the evenings, with 65lb nets reported. All lakes are worth a dabble at Shepherd's Port, with carp, bream, skimmers, roach and rudd all showing.

King's Lynn AA are staging an open on Ten Mile bank on Sunday, September 2.

Advance tickets £2 from Dave Burton, on 01366 387870. Pools £8, plus optional super pool.

Draw is at the EA car park at Denver Sluice, at 8.30 am. Lynn AA ask those fishing Ten Mile this coming Sunday to note Ongar AC have match booked 20 pegs.
