The ECB Twenty20 clash between Swardeston and Great Witchingham last night went down to the final ball, with Swardeston grabbing a dramatic win.
Witchingham opted to bat first and posted 169 for four, with James Spelman hitting 72 not out and Shaun Arthurton firing 72, including five sixes.
Peter Lambert (48) and Jeremy Elliott (73) kept Swardeston on course and the scores were level with one ball remaining. Ian Tufts (35no) hit the final delivery for four to seal a six-wicket win for Swardeston.
Swardeston will now play the winners of the match between Horsford and Vauxhall Mallards, scheduled for June 11.
The winners of that match go into an EAPL finals day on July 1, with the winners there progressing to the ECB National Club Twenty20.
