Swardeston must combat Aussie ace in East Anglian Premier League top two clash

The top two are poised for battle in the East Anglian Premier League as leaders Swardeston travel to Saffron Walden tomorrow.

Swardeston have so far coped impressively without star batsman Jaden Hatwell – who returned to New Zealand in the winter – but tomorrow they must combat Walden's overseas star Glen Batticciotto. The Australian is the league's leading runscorer and is second in the wicket-taking charts.

Victory for Vauxhall Mallards against Copdock & Old Ipswichian at Brundall would see them leapfrog the Suffolk side in the table.

Horsford host Bury St Edmunds at Manor Park and Great Witchingham travel to Burwell.

In the Norfolk Alliance Premier Division, top two Norwich and Fakenham are gearing up for their first clash of the season next weekend – but before then they both have to deal with tricky assignments tomorrow.

Norwich host Vauxhall Mallards A at Ingham and Fakenham are at Sprowston.

Reigning champions Rollesby are top of the pile again in Norfolk League Division One and tomorrow they travel to Vauxhall Mallards B.
