King's Lynn Town have been spared a long trip to Warwickshire this evening after their Southern Premier Division clash with Stratford Town was called off early.
A pitch inspection was held at the Stratford-upon-Avon club's DCS Stadium at midday and it was decided the pitch was too waterlogged to host a match tonight.
The postponement avoids a repeat of a frustrating late decision to call off the Linnets match at Cambridge City earlier this month, when the Lynn squad had already arrived at the stadium for the match.
Gary Setchell's side are scheduled to be on the road again on Saturday, with a long trip to Paulton Rovers, in Somerset.
