Catering

'I've got loads of views. I've come here a few times and sampled the catering and I think it needs upgrading. We'll do that with immediate effect. As you know I've got (own) The George (Hotel) at Cley and the catering there is very good. We're going to get the chefs there involved here (at The Walks). Apart from August, where it's a problem, it works quite well for us. When we're busy at The George it's not busy here and visa versa. I've got four good full-time chefs.'

'What I understand is that we are short of turnstiles (if we are in a position to take promotion). We will be fixing the floodlights and we're going to sort the turnstiles out but I don't know anything else that needs to be done other than that. Buster (Chapman) said it was ok to go to the next level. I've got a guy looking at the ticketing machines so we're going to fix that. But believe me any ground issues will be dealt with. I wouldn't want to lose promotion because of the ground.'

Fans' group

'To my mind there should be an official supporters' group which should be affiliated to King's Lynn Town but run by the fans. It could be made up from a mixture of the Friends of the Linnets, Blue & Gold Trust plus other people. I believe there should be an official group. How that emerges is down to everyone to agree. Clearly everyone should be singing from the same hymn sheet. We need to get everyone to games and that we're all going in the same direction.'

Plastic glasses

'The plastic glasses will change to glasses. They obviously can't walk outside with them. The problem with putting the glasses in is that we can't put them in until we get a glass-washer. We can't put a glass-washer in (the bar) without getting it plumbed in. It's not going to be an instant thing so it'll take four weeks. We're looking at initiatives about beer (deals). It's a tricky one because you don't want beer to go off. You're not allowed to promote people drinking too much either.'

Being the boss

'I plan on being proactive. I'm a great delegator. Some people are control freaks who like to run everything themselves. I loathe that. It means if you've delegated things probably there's (laughing) always someone else to blame. I've got good people around me in my businesses and they can run it. I try and give them their rope to go out and take on responsibility so I'm not always having to be there. You've got to have a structure to be able to put the hours in.'
