The ill feeling between King's Lynn and Poole is continuing to simmer over the decision to allow Artur Mrockza to ride for the Pirates at Lynn last week.

A row erupted between the two clubs after the Speedway Control Bureau overturned a decision by the British Speedway Promoters' Association which would not have allowed the league leaders to use a guest for the out-of-contract Adrian Miedzinski.

During a stormy night at the Norfolk Arena last Friday, Lynn co-promoter Jonathan Chapman upped the ante by declaring over the club's public address system that although it was 'legal' to use Mrockza on the night, it was 'not right'.

He added: 'Poole are out for themselves. Before we came into the Elite League, I thought it was rah-rah about how much Matt Ford tries to get away with things but now I am part of it, I can see it.'

His father, Stars chief Keith 'Buster' Chapman, went one step further by roaring 'cheats never prosper' into the microphone after the Stars had beaten Poole 49-41 to end the visitors stunning 18-match unbeaten run.

Poole team boss Neil Middleditch used social networking website Twitter to hit back that night writing: 'Some people's attitude sucks. Win by all means but don't slag us off. #wewillbeback.'

But the spat has now run into a second week after Chapman, using his @KingsLynnBoss feed, Tweeted on Wednesday after Poole's meeting with Eastbourne was postponed: 'Shame Poole won't get another chance to say goodbye to Adrian Miedzinski'.

The comment sparked a series of replies from Pirates fans and riders –including former Lynn ace Darcy Ward – some of which contained offensive language.

Chapman told Ward, who is currently sidelined with a broken hand, it was a 'shame' he hadn't been there to see his 'team get beat by the mighty @officialKLStars'. Ward replied: 'Ok I would of smoked it n you know it!!'

Lynn's co-promoter, highlighting reserve Mateusz Szczepaniak's stunning race win over Pirates heat leader and Grand Prix star Chris Holder, responded: 'Listen if our reserve can smoke @Chris_Holder23 then I am sure he could smoke you too! #loser'.

The Pirates had previously declared Miedzinski wouldn't ride for the club again but were allowed a guest facilitity for him at Lynn because he was riding in the Speedway Grand Prix qualifiers the next day.

The SCB ruled that the reigning Elite League champions, who beat Lynn in last season's play-off semi-finals, could replace him because he was still registered as a Poole rider.

Chapman laughed off this week's spat and said he expects there to be no problem between him and Holder when the Australian rides at Lynn's Norfolk Arena during Monday's World Cup meeting. The Stars co-promoter said; 'It's all light-hearted, especially with Chris. It's tongue in cheek with him, a bit of a laugh, and nothing has become personal.

'I just find it incredible how protective and single-minded Poole fans are about their club. It's so funny to watch. It's also funny that the Manchester United of British speedway have been rattled by, as one of their fans called us, little Lynn.'
