A former star of cult programme Soccer AM can't wait for the spotlight to shine on Peterborough United tomorrow.

Defender Mark Little was a regular on the Saturday-morning show during the 2010-2011 season as part of a 'Little and Large' series of comedy sketches. But it won't be no laughing matter for the 25-year-old when he takes to the Wembley pitch for the first time as Posh look to overcome Chesterfield to win this weekend's Johnstone's Paint Trophy final.

Little said: 'Wembley is the ultimate stage. It is a great achievement to play there, but there is a game to be won before we can really enjoy the day.

'Hundreds and thousands of players don't get the chance to play at Wembley in their careers. The manager (Darren Ferguson) has been telling us this week. It is a big game and we are all really looking forward to it.

'It will be a great day out for the supporters. I know we are taking over 18,000 so it will be a fantastic atmosphere and we want to win it for the fans. We haven't been very consistent this season and we have lost the last two games in the league, so maybe this game comes up at a good time.'

League One Posh go into the game as favourites against their League Two counterparts from Derbyshire.

Ferguson added: 'The JPT was one of our targets and we've given ourself an opportunity. We've always treated it with respect and we're looking forward to it.'
