Wroxham's poor away form again cost them dearly as they went down to their sixth consecutive defeat on the road.

VCD went ahead after just nine minutes and the lead was doubled through Joe Bruce on 17 minutes – both goals coming after sloppy defending by the Yachtsmen.

However, Jack Guyton tucked the ball home in the six-yard box on 25 minutes to give the visitors some hope and 10 minutes before the break they were level when Tom Rampling's ball in from the flank was met by a glancing header from Jack Newman.

VCD went ahead again on 59 minutes, through Victor Zapata Caicedo, but again Wroxham fought back, with Armani Schaar scoring from the spot after he was brought down. But Wroxham conceded again within two minutes when Saio Blackwood scored, making tomorrow's trip to Heybridge Swifts even more vital as Wroxham desperately need a confidence-boosting win.
