Search for Olympics stars of the future to take place in Norwich
Ex-Olympic athlete Paul Evans is looking for the stars of the future at athletics courses in Norwich this summer.
Mr Evans, who ran in the 10,000m track final at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and 1996 Atlanta Olympics is now the athletics development officer for Active Norfolk.
And he has organised Star:track Athletics sessions for eight to 15-year-olds this summer, which give children the chance to have a go at different athletics disciplines including hurdles, long jump and shot put.
He said: 'Star:track is a great way of getting the kids active during the school holidays and what better time to develop your athletic ability, than 2012, when the Olympic Games will be coming to London.
'It is always a lot of fun and a good way for them to make new friends as well as developing their skills on the athletics field.'
All sporting equipment will be provided, but participants should bring packed lunches, sunscreen and drinks. Four-day sessions are at Norwich Sportspark from August 7 to 10 and August 20 to 23.
