Two goals from Hafeez Sanusi and one from Liam Jackson gave Norwich United their first victory of the season at second-placed Bowers & Pitsea, recording the shock result of the day in the league with an excellent all-round display.

Steve Eastaugh's men went in front, for the first time this season, in the 10th minute after Tim Henery released Adam Hipperson down the left and his cross from the byline saw Sanusi shoot home from close range. Hipperson was provider again seven minutes later, this time his shot was parried by goalkeeper Callum Chafer, but Sanusi pounced to double the lead.

Jackson effectively sealed the points after 64 minutes, shooting home from Henry Pollock's cross, although the hosts managed to net 17 minutes from time through Tony Stokes. Bowers were reduced to 10 men in injury time when Lewis Clark saw a second yellow.
