With their play-off hopes taking a severe dent in the last two games Norwich United will be looking to bounce back when they entertain Phoenix Sports at Plantation Park.

The Planters reacted to Saturday's lacklustre performance at Brentwood Town with a much improved showing in a bizarre game at Bowers & Pitsea on Tuesday.

Despite going down to a 5-0 defeat, only a combination of poor finishing and some heroic last ditch defending prevented the Planters from keeping themselves in the game and the scoreline was not a reflection of the game.

Steve Eastaugh will be hoping to see a return to the form which saw the team rise up the division and will be pleased to be back at home where the Planters have lost just one of their last 10 games. The Planters will once again be without the services of midfielder Lee Mason who serves the last of a two-match ban and will be hoping that skipper Andy Eastaugh is fit to play.

Phoenix sit just one place below with just goal difference separating the two clubs. Their last two away games have been 2-1 wins at both Bury Town and Cheshunt, promising a competitive game for the Planters this afternoon.

• Elsewhere, Dereham Town host mid-table rivals Waltham Abbey as they look to climb into the top half of the Ryman North table.

The Magpies sealed an impressive 3-2 win at sixth-placed Cheshunt last Saturday and have won two of their last three games. However, their home form has been poor, losing the last four matches at Aldiss Park and Waltham arrive having won four and drawn one of their five games during February.

• Meanwhile, bottom-of-the-table Wroxham go in search of their first points since parting ways with manager Damian Hilton last month, with 11 games to close the daunting 13-point gap to safety.

The Yachtsmen were narrowly beaten 1-0 by play-off chasing Haringey Borough at Trafford Park last weekend and travel to VCD Athletic today.

The Kent side are in 18th place and won only one of their four league fixtures in February, offering Wroxham a glimmer of hope as David Coyle and Kaine Challen look to inspire an unlikely push for survival.
