Wroxham boss Pawel Guziejko has insisted his side are not looking over their shoulders as they prepare to host Chatham Town.

The Yachtsmen sit just two places above the Ryman North relegation zone, with all the sides below them boasting several games in hand.

But the Polish manager has assured fans that despite their recent run of poor results – with five defeats in six including a 3-0 loss at the hands of Romford last Saturday – his side are only interested in looking forward.

'Everything is still in our hands,' he said. 'I am extremely confident in the club and the players and we are simply not looking anywhere else but in front of us.

'Our last game against Romford was poor and I have said all I need to say to the players to make sure it never happens again. But that is in the past, we are not dwelling on it and we are looking forward to Saturday and making sure Chatham leave Wroxham pointless.'

With only eight league games remaining, time is beginning to run out for the Yachtsmen to pick up the necessary points to pull themselves away from danger.

But with seven of these games against teams in the bottom half of the table – starting today with 13th placed Chatham – Guziejko is confident his players can do the business in a crucial time of the season.

'Every game is crucial, but we know what we are capable of doing,' he added. 'I believe in my players and I am confident they will show a positive reaction to last week's disappointment to start winning games again.'

Wroxham will be without striker Ross Durrant, who picked up an ankle injury during the Romford game and is expected to be out for up to three weeks.

Dereham Town are looking to bounce back from a 2-0 home defeat against Redbridge last weekend when they travel to bottom-of-the-table Waltham Forest today.

A goal in each half consigned the Magpies to defeat at Aldiss Park to continue a rollercoaster second half of the season for Matt Henman's side.

In their last 10 games Dereham have won five, lost four and drawn one, to just about stay in the play-off hunt.

The Magpies, currently seventh in Ryman North, travel to north London to face a Waltham Forest side looking almost certain to face the drop.

They followed up a 2-2 draw at Waltham Abbey on Monday with a 1-0 loss at Needham Market on Thursday night and have won only one of their 11 matches in 2014.
