Professional Ryan Pudney has left Royal Cromer to take a new job promoting a junior golf academy in Spain. Pudney has been assistant to Lee Patterson for nearly eight years and said: 'I'm sad to leave Royal Cromer but I'm very excited about this prospect - and nervous!' He will be working for Jason Floyd, who trained at Thetford before pursuing an international career as a coach and establishing his own base in Spain.

Pudney has been assistant to Lee Patterson for nearly eight years and said: 'I'm sad to leave Royal Cromer but I'm very excited about this prospect - and nervous!'
He will be working for Jason Floyd, who trained at Thetford before pursuing an international career as a coach and establishing his own base in Spain. He is opening a residential junior academy there and Pudney will be promoting and marketing the project. He has a sports management degree as well as his PGA qualification.
Pudney will be working at home for a couple of months but will be moving to Spain in September, with his wife, young child and new baby which is due today! Everything is happening at the same time,' he said.
Meanwhile, he'll be continuing where possible with his duties as Norfolk PGA captain. He's playing the Norfolk matchplay championship and intends to tee up in the Norfolk Open.
